Water Pumping

Solar Water Pump

Run irrigation on sunlight, not diesel or the grid.

Solar water pump set with submersible and surface pumps beside a panel array

A solar water pump runs directly off a dedicated panel array instead of the grid or a diesel generator, which matters most for farms and rural properties where the electricity supply is unreliable or simply does not reach the borewell. Submersible pumps sit down the borehole itself and are the standard choice for deep water tables; surface pumps sit above ground and suit shallower sources, open wells and transferring water between tanks.

We fit these for borewell irrigation, drip and sprinkler systems, farmhouse water supply and cattle and dairy operations across Madhya Pradesh. Because there is no fuel to buy and no diesel run to arrange, the running cost drops close to zero once the system is in, and it keeps pumping through grid outages that would otherwise stop irrigation for the day.

For farmers, PM-KUSUM support can bring the upfront cost down meaningfully, subject to eligibility, and we handle that paperwork as part of the job rather than leaving it to you. We work with Shakti Pumps, whose motors already sit in our partner lineup, and size the pump and array to your borewell’s depth and yield before we quote anything.

What you get

No diesel, no fuel cost

Runs entirely on its own panel array, so there is no fuel to buy or diesel run to arrange.

Works where the grid does not

Ideal for borewells and farm plots with an unreliable or absent electricity connection.

Submersible or surface

Submersible pumps suit deep borewells; surface pumps suit shallower sources, open wells and tank transfers.

Sized to your borewell

Head, discharge and horsepower are matched to your water table and yield, not a single standard pump for every site.

Controller / VFD included

A variable frequency drive gets the most out of the available sunlight through the day, from early morning to late afternoon.

PM-KUSUM support, where eligible

Subject to eligibility, farmers can bring the upfront cost down meaningfully under PM-KUSUM. We handle the application.

PM-KUSUM (MNRE)

Farmers may be eligible for PM-KUSUM support: broadly, 30% central financial assistance plus at least 30% state subsidy, with the farmer contributing the remaining balance, up to 40%, which bank finance can often reduce to around 10% upfront with the rest financed as a loan. Component-B covers standalone off-grid pumps up to 7.5 HP; Component-C covers solarising an existing grid-connected pump. Eligibility, exact percentages and available allocation depend on your state and district at the time of application, subject to approval, so this is not a guarantee. We help with the paperwork as part of the job.

How it happens

01

Survey

We visit your site, check sunlight, access and load, and confirm what actually fits.

02

Design

You get a sizing and quote in writing, with the configuration explained in plain language.

03

Install

Our own team installs and commissions it, so there is no handoff to a third-party contractor.

04

Service

We stay on for maintenance and support, with spares and help available locally.

Frequently asked questions

Am I eligible for the PM-KUSUM subsidy in Madhya Pradesh?

Eligibility depends on factors like landholding, existing pump connection status and current state allocation, so it varies farmer to farmer. We check your specific situation against the current scheme terms before quoting, rather than assuming eligibility upfront.

What is the difference between a submersible and a surface pump?

A submersible pump sits down inside the borewell itself and is the standard choice for deep water tables. A surface pump sits above ground and suits shallower sources, open wells, or simply transferring water between tanks or fields. We recommend based on your water source, not a default.

Can a solar pump run drip or sprinkler irrigation directly?

Yes, with the right controller and array sizing, a solar pump can feed drip or sprinkler systems directly. We size the array and controller to the pressure and flow those systems need, which is usually different from a simple borewell-to-tank setup.

What happens on a cloudy day, does the pump just stop?

Output drops with reduced sunlight, so a cloudy day generally means slower or reduced pumping rather than none at all, unless it is very heavily overcast. Some setups pair the pump with a small storage tank to smooth out day-to-day sun variation.

Do you install a specific pump brand, or can I choose?

We install solar water pumps from several manufacturers, including our partner Shakti Pumps, and size and recommend based on your borewell’s head, discharge and horsepower. We fit the pump to the site, not a single fixed brand for every installation.
